Hi
It was another day of fun and frolic. Our English class made us learn about the basic chapter-1 "Sentence". In this lesson we learnt the parts and types of sentences. The best part of this lesson was to learn the basics , which refreshed us the simple and basic meaning of the chapter sentence. We even used our creativity in making charts for the same. Would attach the same in  the next blog. Our learning objective, was clearly achieved. We learnt what are declarative , interrogative, imperative and exclamatory sentences. Our class participated in the activity and enjoyed the most in solving the exercises.
We would learn about Noun  tomorrow and update all my dear friends with the same.

Hi
It was an enjoyable day where we learnt so much about English grammar. We were introduced to the first and basic chapter of sentence in our class today. It was fun revising the basic meaning and understanding the importance of the same in our class today. Our teacher made us learn and understand this basic chapter with the help of flow charts. It became more easy for us to retain the simple meaning of sentence and its various types as our teacher made us draw and paste its various examples using different colours and  creativity skills .So it was simple as we learnt ,wrote and ;lastly correlated it in daily use.
Would share more  topics after discussion  later.

hi all,
we are again here to share our daily routine with you  today( 12th April).
We are very happy today , friends you know why because we are going to have three holidays Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Because Friday is Baishaki in Punjab, India

Baisakhi has a special meaning for the Sikhs. On this day in 1699, our tenth Guru, Gobind Singh, organized the order of the Khalsa. He discontinued the tradition of Gurus in Sikhism by declaring the Granth Sahib to be the eternal Guru of all Sikhs. To form the Khalsa Panth he asked his followers to volunteer to be ready to lay down their lives to save others. Five volunteers of five different castes were made the Panj Piaras, who would lead the rest.
Basically a farmers' festival, Baisakhi is a time to enjoy before beginning the hard work of harvesting and as such, its celebration requires no prayers or fasting. However, people do go to temples after taking a bath in the nearby river.

And Saturday is B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti

April 14th is the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Father of Indian Constitution. His full name is Bhimarao Ramji Ambedkar and also known as Babasaheb. Indians observe his birthday to commemorate his contribution to the Indian Society.

And of course Sunday and Sunday is always FUN DAY.

To celebrate 13th and 14 April we had special assemblies today in the morning .Where class VII & VIII sang group songs and class X & XII boys danced ("Bhangra" a Punjabi folk dance). Deepanshu of class V sang a very beautiful punjabi song.

It was fun ,we love going to school because the system of our school is not only studies studies and studies in every period we study through activities and you know being kids activities are always appreciated.
Hope you do the same in your school.
Take care guys

Dear Friends,

Women are not smarter than men, but they are more aware and recognizant! This has been a worldwide controversy notion since the beginning of creation.

People seem to ignore the subject in order to avoid any embarrassment. Some say that boys are smarter in a way that boys are physically stronger hence; they can learn new experiences like building a house, or cutting a tree etc. While some advocate that girls are way smarter because they are deep thinkers and imaginative! Though they are physically weaker, but they are much better than boys mentally speaking. They think before they act and they remain calm in crises.

Our english teacher discussed this topic with us then we decided to have this topic as debate, so in our
English period we had a debate and of course the topic of the debate was "Men are superior". This debate was between girls and boys. Everyone was cheering for his\her team with full enthusiasms. Girls gave the examples of Helen Keller, Mother Teresa, Pratibha Patel. Helen Keller was blind, deaf and dumb but she became the writer. Mother Teresa helped so many poor people to make their lives better. Pratibha Patil is our first woman President of India. she is taking care of her house as well as country. Boys gave the examples of Mahatma Gandhi, Sh.Bhagat Singh, they fought for the freedom of India and gave many more examples.Ultimately debate remained debate because boys said men are supiror and girls were aginst it, but what ever it was we enjoyed a lot.

We had so much of fun. Our teacher told us about the benefits of debate, such as:-

  • Increase in critical thinking skills, perhaps the most important skill debaters learn is the ability to think rigorously and critically.
  • Improvements in literacy rates
  • Public Speaking Skills
  • Listening & Note taking Skills

Being in Debate Team it was a great experience, fantastic learning, developed life-long skills and it was great fun!

Take care friends
See you

Hi All,

This is the animated video of " the Beginnings of a Miracle by Helen Killer. We read this chapter in the class and our teacher made it more interesting by showing us the video of Helen Keler's life. This is amazing video.
Helen Keler was an American author and a political activist. She was the first person suffering from vision and hearing impairment to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Anne Sullivan was an American teacher. She was visually impaired too. Anne introduced Helen to the world around her through the miracle of language.
We learnt so many things from her life.
You must watch this video.
